Stephen L. Brischetto is a seasoned civil rights attorney with a distinguished career spanning more than four decades. Since founding his solo practice in 1990, he has represented clients across Oregon in civil rights, disability advocacy, and public interest cases, bringing a lifetime of experience to each matter he handles.
Stephen earned his Juris Doctor degree from Notre Dame Law School in 1977, following his undergraduate studies at the University of Notre Dame in 1974. Early in his legal career, he was awarded the prestigious Reginald Heber Smith Fellowship through Howard University, which launched his service with legal aid organizations in Indiana and Oregon.
From 1977 to 1983, Stephen served as both staff attorney and later director at the Oregon Developmental Disabilities Advocacy Center, leading legal efforts to protect the rights of individuals with disabilities. His work during this period laid a strong foundation for a career focused on equity, justice, and access to legal representation.
Stephen later became a partner at Baldwin & Brischetto, where he practiced law until 1990, before establishing his firm. Over the years, he has consistently prioritized advocacy for marginalized communities, combining his legal skills with a deep commitment to public service and civil rights protections.
