Stephen J. Nemec, Senior Partner, is an accomplished attorney with a strong focus on personal injury law. His practice includes cases involving serious injuries, wrongful death, defective products, and workers’ compensation. He also represents clients in complex matters related to intellectual property, business litigation, and claims involving patents, trademarks, and trade secrets.
Stephen earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from Willamette University in 2001. He continued his education at the University of Idaho College of Law, where he completed his Juris Doctor in 2005. Admitted to the Washington Bar in 2005 and the Idaho Bar in 2007, he is also licensed before the U.S. District Courts for the District of Idaho and the Eastern District of Washington.
Stephens’ professional credentials include certification by the Idaho Trial Lawyers Association as a workers’ compensation specialist, a distinction reflecting his commitment to injured workers. He is an active member of both the Washington State Bar Association and the Idaho State Bar Association, where he serves on the board of the Workers’ Compensation Section.
Stephen has represented clients in notable cases, including Jobe v. Dirne Clinic/Heritage Health (2017), Deon v. H & J, Inc. (2014), and Sharp v. Thomas Bros. Plumbing (2022), each shaping significant aspects of Idaho workers’ compensation law. His work reflects a balance of litigation and negotiation, with half of his practice devoted to courtroom advocacy.
