Stephen G. Cochran is a highly respected attorney known for his deep understanding of real estate, probate, and commercial law. Stephen earned his B.A. in 1970 and his J.D. in 1973 from the University of Kansas. After passing the Bar, he was admitted to practice law in both Texas and Kansas in 1973. His admissions also include the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, and the U.S. Supreme Court, where he has argued appeals.
Stephen began his legal career at the Bexar County Legal Aid Association, where he served as staff attorney, managing attorney, and later as chief litigation attorney from 1973 to 1982. His work helped provide vital legal aid to underserved communities. He continued building his legal practice as an associate with the Law Offices of Cecil W. Bain from 1982 to 1984, expanding his litigation skills across multiple legal areas.
Stephen G. Cochran has argued before major appellate courts, including the Texas Supreme Court and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. He has also worked on federal and state administrative cases, advocating before agencies such as the Federal Trade Commission andthe Texas Department of Public Safety. Stephen authored key publications like Consumer Rights and Remedies and the Texas Consumer Law Handbook.
