Stephanie L. Finn

Stephanie L. Finn concentrates her practice on appellate law and complex legal analysis. She handles appeals in a wide range of civil and criminal matters, including cases originally tried by other law firms. She works closely with attorneys to develop strong legal arguments and thoughtful strategies designed to address challenging legal issues.

Stephanie earned her B.A. in 1988 from the University of Wisconsin, Eau Claire, WI, graduating Magna Cum Laude with a major in Political Science. She later received her J.D. in 1991 from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, Wisconsin. Her academic background provides a strong foundation in research, writing, and legal reasoning, supporting her appellate and litigation work.

Admitted to practice in Wisconsin in 1991, Stephanie is also admitted to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 7th Circuit (1994), the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Wisconsin (1991), the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin (2016), and the Supreme Court of the United States. She has built her career handling appeals and providing in-depth legal research and analysis.

In addition to appellate matters, Stephanie handles cases involving contract law, business law, and wills. She assists clients and fellow attorneys in evaluating complex legal questions and crafting persuasive written arguments. Her practice emphasizes careful preparation and precise legal writing.

Stephanie L. Finn is a co-author of The Law of Damages, State Bar of Wisconsin CLE Books, Vol. III, Chap.33, 1992 to present. She is a member of the Eau Claire County Bar Association, State Bar of Wisconsin, and American Bar Association, and remains dedicated to delivering thorough and strategic appellate advocacy.
