Stefan B. Kalina

Stefan B. Kalina is an accomplished litigation attorney with extensive experience in complex commercial litigation, insurance disputes, and real estate law. He represents corporate and individual clients before trial and appellate courts across multiple jurisdictions, providing strategic counsel in high-stakes cases. A member of the Board of Editors of the New York Dispute Resolution Lawyer, he is well-versed in arbitration, mediation, and out-of-court negotiation.

Stefan earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Miami School of Law in 1996, receiving multiple honors for litigation skills, moot court, and trial advocacy. He completed his Bachelor of Arts in History and Political Science at the University of Illinois in 1993 as a Cohn Scholar. He is admitted to practice in New York, Connecticut, New Jersey, and multiple U.S. District and Appellate Courts.

Stefan B. Kalina is an experienced New York business attorney who handles complex corporate transactions, commercial lending, fiduciary disputes, landlord–tenant matters, and intellectual property litigation. His insurance law practice focuses on directors and officers (D&O) liability, data privacy and cybersecurity risk, and insurance coverage analysis and disputes. Drawing on his background as an Assistant District Attorney in Kings County (Brooklyn), he counsels businesses and individuals on managing and minimizing potential civil and criminal exposure.
