Stan Spurrier

Stan Spurrier is a founding attorney of Monnat & Spurrier, Chartered, and a highly respected appellate and criminal defense lawyer based in Wichita, Kansas. Since co-founding the firm in 1985, he has built a reputation for excellence in post-trial motions, post-conviction remedies, and appellate advocacy. Stan earned his J.D., magna cum laude, from Washburn University School of Law, where he served as a law clerk for Shawnee County, Kansas District Court Judges. This early exposure to judicial decision-making helped shape his analytical and procedural expertise. He also earned his B.A. in General Studies from Wichita State University. His educational achievements and professional discipline established the foundation for a distinguished career devoted to defending individual rights and advancing the principles of due process.

Throughout his career, Stan has authored briefs in many of the successful appeals argued by his law partner, Dan Monnat.
