Stan H. Anker

Stan H. Anker is a senior attorney with extensive experience in bankruptcy law, estate planning, taxation, and real estate law. He represents creditors and debtors, assisting clients in complex financial matters, business transactions, and legal disputes. His expertise extends to contract law, administrative law, and commercial litigation, making him a trusted legal advisor in South Dakota. He has also lectured on real estate law and provided estate planning presentations to the South Dakota Stockgrowers Association, Rancher’s Workshop, and the Black Hills Stock Show and Rodeo.

Mr. Anker earned his B.S. in Accounting from the University of South Dakota in 1976. Before attending law school, he worked for Touche Ross (now Deloitte Touche), one of the world’s leading accounting firms. He later obtained his J.D. from Hamline University School of Law in 1980, gaining expertise in business law, taxation, and financial regulations. While in law school, he worked as an internal audit manager for a manufacturing company, further developing his financial and legal skills.

Mr. Anker has a strong background in bankruptcy law, representing creditors and debtors in Chapter 11 cases. He has been an attorney for unsecured creditor committees, helping businesses navigate bankruptcy proceedings. He is an active member of the South Dakota Bankruptcy Court Rules Committee and serves on the Debtor/Creditor Committee of the South Dakota Bar Association.

In addition to bankruptcy, Mr. Anker focuses on estate planning, wills, and trusts, assisting clients with asset protection and financial planning. His legal services also extend to business law, construction law, contracts, and taxation. He has advised individuals and businesses on tax resolution strategies and compliance.
