Stacy L. Walker

Stacy L. Walker is a partner at Walker & Eakes LLC in Anchorage whose practice includes insurance defense and civil litigation. She has represented clients in hundreds of judicial and administrative proceedings before Alaska, federal, and military authorities. Her background in criminal, labor, and civil defense gives her a broad litigation perspective and substantial experience preparing cases for trial, evaluating disputed facts, and presenting matters before courts and administrative decision makers.

Walker earned a J.D. from Brigham Young University in 1991 and a B.A. from Brigham Young University in 1989. She then completed a two-year clerkship with the United States Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims. In 1993, she entered the Air Force as an Assistant Staff Judge Advocate, where she prosecuted and defended criminal matters and handled labor law cases before the Merit Systems Protection Board and other administrative bodies.

Walker has tried more than 65 jury trials to verdict as lead counsel. During her Air Force service, she tried criminal cases across the western United States. After leaving the Air Force in 1999, she joined the Alaska Public Defender Agency as a felony attorney and tried more than 25 cases before moving into civil defense practice in 2002. She later became a partner in private practice while continuing to handle complex litigation.
