Stacie E. Tobin is a seasoned litigation partner and co-chair of the Litigation Division at Venable LLP. Based in Baltimore, she brings decades of first-chair trial experience to complex commercial disputes and high-risk product liability cases in federal and state courts across the country.
Stacie earned her J.D. with honors from the University of Maryland School of Law in 1992 and holds a B.A. from Mount Holyoke College. Early in her legal career, she clerked for judges on both the Supreme Court of Maryland and the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland, laying the foundation for her courtroom expertise.
Stacie represents companies in a wide range of sectors, including manufacturing, financial services, pharmaceuticals, real estate, and hospitality. Her litigation work includes breach of contract, class actions, business torts, trade secrets, and intellectual property disputes.
Stacie has defended clients in high-profile product liability cases involving design defects, fraud, and consumer protection claims. Her portfolio includes verdicts in favor of manufacturers of heavy equipment, automobiles, pharmaceuticals, and tobacco products.
Stacie also held leadership roles within Venable, including partner-in-charge of the Baltimore office and chair of the Electronic Discovery Task Force. She is active in professional and civic organizations, including the University of Maryland Law School Board of Visitors and The Maryland Zoo Board.
