Sharon S. Dove

Sharon S. Dove is the founding attorney of Dove Law Firm and has practiced law since 1998. Her legal career and practice have centered on immigration and bankruptcy law, areas where clients often face urgent and life-changing challenges. She represents individuals and families seeking lawful immigration status as well as people overwhelmed by debt and financial pressure. Known for her clear guidance and steady advocacy, Ms. Dove helps clients navigate complex legal systems with confidence and dignity, always focused on practical solutions and long-term stability.

Ms. Dove earned her J.D. from New York University School of Law. She also holds a B.A. in Political Science from The Johns Hopkins University and an M.A. in Political Science from the University of California, Berkeley. This advanced education supports her analytical approach and deep understanding of policy-driven areas of law, particularly immigration and consumer bankruptcy.

Ms. Dove has devoted most of her career to public service and legal advocacy. She spent many years with Legal Aid of North Carolina, where she served as Managing Attorney of the Gastonia office. Later, she became Director of the Immigrant Justice Program at the Charlotte Center for Legal Advocacy, leading and expanding a humanitarian-based immigration practice. In these roles, she helped thousands of underserved individuals gain access to legal protection and fair treatment under the law.

Sharon S. Dove has bankruptcy experience and is equally strong. She has represented debtors in financial crises and also worked with a Chapter 7 bankruptcy trustee, gaining insight into how bankruptcy estates are administered. This perspective allows her to advise clients strategically and responsibly. Fluent in Spanish, Ms. Dove continues to provide accessible, results-driven legal services to help clients move forward with stability and peace of mind.
