Sean earned his J.D. from the University of Florida College of Law in 1994. His legal education gave him a strong foundation in legal research, writing, analysis, and courtroom practice. It also helps him explain legal issues simply, so clients can understand their options and make informed choices with confidence.

Sean, after law school, began his legal career as an Assistant Public Defender with the Pinellas County, Florida Public Defender’s Office. There, he handled an average caseload of more than 170 indigent defendants charged with criminal offenses. He also represented people in involuntary commitment hearings under the Florida Baker Act statute. This early work showed his commitment to helping people during serious and stressful times. It also gave him extensive courtroom experience and sharpened his ability to advocate effectively for clients.

Sean D. K. Scott opened his private practice. He expanded his work into Criminal Defense, Personal Injury, Business Law, Acquisitions, Corporate Law, Bankruptcy, Estate Planning, Estate Administration, and Probate Law in 1997. He has helped clients protect businesses, organize estates, plan for the future, and manage legal problems with care. His long experience as a professor of law-related subjects also reflects his deep knowledge.
