Sean Claggett

Sean Claggett is a trial lawyer and partner at Claggett & Sykes Trial Lawyers who represents clients in complex civil litigation involving catastrophic personal injury law and wrongful death. He has achieved significant verdicts in cases involving sexual abuse, trucking collisions, premises liability, medical malpractice, and other serious injuries. He founded his trial practice in 2005 and has developed a national litigation practice. His work emphasizes detailed preparation, data-driven trial strategy, jury research, and advocacy for people harmed by negligence and misconduct.

Sean earned his J.D., cum laude, from the UNLV William S. Boyd School of Law. He earned his B.A. in Political Science from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. During law school, he served as a staff editor of the Nevada Law Journal, competed on the National Moot Court team, and won the Society of Advocates oral argument competition. He later became an adjunct professor, teaching Law Practice Management at Boyd School of Law.

Sean handles high-stakes trials involving catastrophic injuries, wrongful death, medical malpractice, defective products, sexual abuse, and other complex claims. He uses focus groups and data analysis to evaluate cases and develop trial strategies. His courtroom results include substantial verdicts for clients and families affected by serious injuries and wrongful conduct. He also teaches trial techniques to attorneys nationwide and provides consultation or co-counsel assistance to lawyers preparing significant cases for trial.

Sean Claggett was named Nevada Justice Association Trial Lawyer of the Year in 2017 and has received an AV Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell. He has also been recognized as a Mountain States Super Lawyer and a Titan of Trial by Trial Lawyers University. He has served as President and Vice President of the Boyd School of Law Alumni Association. His professional work combines trial advocacy, legal education, leadership, and civil justice service.
