Scott R. Fraim

Scott R. Fraim is a shareholder at Henneke, Fraim & Dawes, P.C., bringing more than thirty-nine years of legal experience to clients throughout Michigan and across the United States. His practice focuses on business matters, civil litigation, estate planning, probate administration, and real estate, serving businesses of all sizes and structures.

Scott earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Finance from Central Michigan University. He received his Juris Doctor from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in 1983 and later obtained a Master of Laws in Taxation from Wayne State University in 1988, providing him with advanced knowledge of complex financial and tax-related legal matters.

Scott represents corporations, limited liability companies, partnerships, and professional associations in all stages of business formation and operation. His work includes contracts, organizational structure, employment matters, mergers and acquisitions, tax planning and representation, and licensing and regulatory compliance for a wide range of industries.

A significant portion of Scott’s practice is devoted to helping clients avoid unnecessary litigation through careful planning and strategic counsel. When disputes arise, he brings extensive courtroom experience, representing clients in state and federal courts, including bankruptcy and tax courts, the Michigan Tax Tribunal, and Michigan Business Courts.

Scott has argued numerous cases before the Michigan Court of Appeals and the Michigan Supreme Court and regularly represents clients in arbitration and mediation proceedings. He also serves as a mediator and arbitrator in business and commercial disputes, offering a balanced and practical perspective.

In addition to his business practice, Scott R. Fraim maintains an active estate-planning and business-succession practice. A lifelong resident of Genesee County and the Flint area, he remains actively involved in community affairs and professional organizations, including the State Bar of Michigan and the Genesee County Bar Association.
