Scott L. Baker

Scott L. Baker is the principal attorney at Baker & Associates; an A-V rated civil law firm. Since 1994, he has provided legal counseling and litigation services to national and regional businesses, entrepreneurs, and industry professionals. His practice areas include business counseling and litigation, construction, intellectual property, trade secrets, and insurance law. Mr. Baker earned his J.D. from Case Western Reserve University School of Law in 1985, where he was a member of the Moot Court Executive Board. He completed his undergraduate studies at The Ohio State University in 1981, earning a B.S. in Business Administration with honors.

Mr. Baker launched his legal career in 1985 as a Federal Judicial Clerk for the Honorable Robert B. Krupansky of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. In 1987, he relocated to Los Angeles and joined leading litigation firms, including Weissmann, Wolff, Bergman, Coleman and Silverman, and Oberstein, Doniger, and Fetter. Today, he leverages decades of courtroom and trial experience to represent businesses and professionals in high-stakes, complex litigation across a wide range of industries.

As Chief West Coast Counsel for Agency Rent-A-Car, Inc., Mr. Baker managed litigation and transactions in business, real estate, employment, insurance, and advertising law. He implemented audit and risk management policies, cost control measures, and legal training programs.

Scott L. Baker is admitted to practice law in California, Ohio, and the District of Columbia. He has contributed to the legal community through pro bono work as a mediator and arbitrator for the Los Angeles County courts and the U.S. District Court Mediation Program.
