Scott Grabel

Scott Grabel is the founding attorney of Grabel & Associates, a Michigan-based criminal defense law firm focused solely on protecting the rights of the accused. He is known for his aggressive approach, strategic leadership, and commitment to achieving strong results in complex criminal cases. Mr. Grabel leads a statewide team of defense attorneys who handle matters ranging from misdemeanors to serious felony charges. Mr. Grabel completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Richard Stockton College of New Jersey. He later earned his J.D. from Thomas M. Cooley Law School, graduating with honors and in the top 10% of his class. His academic background provided a strong foundation in analytical thinking, legal research, and courtroom preparation, which continues to guide his approach to criminal defense representation today.

Mr. Grabel began his legal career with the Michigan Court of Appeals Prehearing Department after law school. He later worked as a staff attorney for a national law firm, where he advanced to Regional Director of Attorneys overseeing legal operations in multiple states. Through this experience, he developed extensive litigation skills and discovered his dedication to criminal defense law. In 1999, he founded Grabel & Associates with a clear mission to defend individuals facing criminal accusations across Michigan.

Scott Grabel has helped clients facing drug charges, violent crimes, DUI and OWI offenses, and criminal sexual conduct allegations throughout his career. He has successfully argued cases before the Michigan Court of Appeals and is frequently recognized for his trial work and legal insight.
