Jeffrey Buehner

Jeffrey A. Buehner is a Michigan criminal defense attorney with extensive experience on both sides of the courtroom. He began his legal career as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney, handling serious criminal matters and developing a strong understanding of investigations, charging decisions, and trial strategy.

Jeffrey earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law after completing a B.S. at Eastern Michigan University. He also graduated from the National College of District Attorneys Career Prosecutor Program, strengthening his knowledge of complex prosecutions and courtroom leadership within demanding criminal justice environments statewide.

Jeffrey served in the Oakland County Prosecutor’s Office, rising to the position of special prosecutor in the narcotics section. He handled the most serious drug cases before entering private practice in 2003, forming a Farmington Hills-based firm focused on fairness, balance, and strong constitutional protections for individuals facing criminal charges statewide daily.

Jeffrey represents clients across Michigan in cases ranging from assault and battery to first-degree murder. He is known for thorough preparation, persuasive courtroom advocacy, and effective negotiation, whether presenting cases to juries or working with prosecutors to reach fair plea agreements that responsibly protect rights, freedoms, and futures statewide.
