Scott earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with distinction from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln in 1996. He then completed his Juris Doctor from the University of Nebraska College of Law in 2000. He was admitted to the Nebraska Bar the same year and is also admitted to several federal courts, including the Eighth and Tenth Circuit Courts of Appeals.
