About

Scott Carlson represents clients who have been injured or accused of crimes in Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island. He focuses on helping people facing stressful legal problems after serious accidents, investigations, or criminal charges. His work centers on clear communication, strong advocacy, and practical guidance during difficult moments.

Scott earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and History from Roger Williams University. He later earned his Juris Doctorate from Roger Williams University School of Law. During law school, he served as Vice President of the University Honor Board and interned for a federal chief judge.

Scott began his legal career with a one-year clerkship in the Rhode Island Supreme Court’s Law Clerk Department. In that role, he helped review civil and criminal matters, prepared decisions, gave recommendations, and researched complex legal issues that required careful legal analysis and strong attention to detail.

Scott later worked at a law firm in Massachusetts, where he defended insurance companies and businesses in negligence and bad faith claims. That experience gave him insight into how insurers and companies review, value, and defend cases from the first claim stage through trial.

Scott now uses that background to help clients pursue better results in personal injury and criminal defense matters. His practice includes representing people harmed in traumatic events and those facing serious accusations. He works to answer hard questions directly while keeping clients informed about their legal options.

Scott is also connected to professional and community organizations. He is involved with the Middlesex United Way and serves on the Middlesex United Way’s Community Impact Council. He is active with the Middlesex Chamber of Commerce, belongs to the Young Leaders Society, and is a member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys.

Scott Carlson brings together courtroom research experience, defense-side knowledge, and a client-focused approach. He understands that legal problems can affect every part of a person’s life, so he aims to be accessible, direct, and prepared while helping clients move through injury claims or criminal cases with confidence.
