Scott A. Wharton

Scott A. Wharton is a seasoned attorney with more than three decades of experience representing businesses in complex corporate and intellectual property matters. As leader of his firm’s Business Transactions Group, he advises clients on mergers and acquisitions, equity and debt financing, securities compliance, and international business transactions. He is also widely respected for his work in intellectual property, handling technology transactions, licensing, and counseling on innovation-driven business growth.

Scott earned his J.D., magna cum laude, from Georgia State University College of Law, graduating with first honors, and his B.S. in Business Administration and Finance from Marquette University. With a foundation in both law and finance, he brings a practical and strategic approach to business and IP issues. He is admitted to practice in Georgia and the District of Columbia.

In addition to private practice, Scott served as general counsel and senior corporate officer for a global telecommunications software company and a Danish telecommunications firm.
