Scott A. Rubenstein

Scott A. Rubenstein is a Cincinnati criminal defense attorney who represents clients in Ohio state and federal courts. His practice focuses entirely on criminal defense, with substantial attention to trials and appeals. Scott earned his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Colorado Boulder in 1995. He received a Juris Doctor from the University of Cincinnati in 1999. During law school, he served on the Moot Court Honors Board from 1997 through 1998. He was admitted to the Ohio Bar in 1999 and the US District Court for the Southern District of Ohio in 2000. In 2003, he gained admission to the US Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit and the US Supreme Court.

Scott began his career as an assistant prosecutor with the Hamilton County Prosecutor’s Office, where he handled felony trials, grand jury matters, and appeals. From 2003 through 2009, he also served as a hearing officer for the Hamilton County Clerk of Courts. In that role, he addressed municipal, criminal, and traffic matters while strengthening his understanding of local court procedures. He has represented hundreds of clients during arraignments, bail hearings, preliminary hearings, probation violations, sentencings, trials, and appeals.
