Scott A. Love is a nationally recognized trial lawyer whose practice centers on products liability, personal injury, wrongful death, mass tort litigation, and class action cases. Over decades of litigation, he has built a reputation for handling complex disputes and trying high-stakes cases that demand strategic focus, courtroom skill, and sustained advocacy for injured clients.
Scott earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Houston, Houston, Texas, in 1993. He graduated cum laude with honors and completed his studies with a major in History. He later obtained his Juris Doctor from the University of Houston Law Center, Houston, Texas, in 1997, establishing a strong academic foundation.
Scott has held leadership roles in numerous national consumer class actions and mass tort proceedings. His litigation experience spans insurance disputes, oil and gas matters, and pharmaceutical cases involving Trasylol, Paxil, Accutane, Topamax, Zoloft, and Transvaginal Mesh, where he helped coordinate strategy across courts and jurisdictions nationwide.
Scott has served on Plaintiffs’ Steering Committees in multiple federal Multi-District Litigations, including pelvic repair system cases involving American Medical Systems, C.R. Bard, Ethicon, and Boston Scientific. He was appointed national counsel in the Transvaginal Mesh litigation by the Honorable Judge Goodwin, reflecting judicial confidence in his leadership.
Scott’s trial accomplishments include landmark verdicts in pharmaceutical and medical device litigation. He acted as lead counsel in the first Topamax birth defect trials, securing jury verdicts that prompted global settlements. He also obtained the largest compensatory verdict against a mesh manufacturer involving stress urinary incontinence injuries.
Scott has been recognized with honors such as Americas Top 100 Attorneys–Lifetime Member and selection by the National Trial Lawyers Association as a Top 100 Trial Lawyer. He has been named a Super Lawyer annually since 2006 and holds an AV-Preeminent rating from Martindale Hubble for ethics and legal ability.
Scott A. Love is admitted to practice law in Texas and Pennsylvania, as well as multiple U.S. District Courts and the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Third and Fifth Circuits.
