About
Karl P. Long, Esq., represents people injured and families who lost loved ones in accidents. His practice covers matters including plant explosions, construction incidents, commercial vehicle crashes, oilfield injuries, automotive products liability, and DRAM shop cases. Since rejoining the firm in 2019, he has helped secure $500 million for clients.
Karl earned a Juris Doctor from South Texas College of Law, Houston, in 2009, graduating cum laude. He received honors including Order of the Lytae, Dean’s List, and CALI Awards. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of the South in 2002, with Order of the Gown honors.
After law school, Karl began his career at Abraham Watkins, working two years as a contract attorney to firm partner Mo Aziz. He later served as an associate at a defense firm handling product liability and premises liability matters. This experience shaped my understanding of how defendants evaluate and defend lawsuits.
With sixteen years of practice nearly split between plaintiffs and defendants, Karl applies a broad perspective to every case. He handles personal injury matters involving workplace accidents, vehicle crashes, premises liability, and defective products. His background allows him to anticipate defense strategies and to build strong claims focused on accountability and results.
Karl’s work has earned recognition from leading legal organizations across Texas. He has been named to The Best Lawyers in America for Personal Injury Litigation, selected as a Texas Super Lawyer, and recognized by The National Trial Lawyers Top 100. He is a Life Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation.
Karl P. Long continues to focus on representing injured individuals and grieving families in high-stakes litigation. He combines courtroom experience, industry knowledge, and practical insight to pursue fair outcomes. Clients benefit from steady guidance, detailed preparation, and an approach centered on responsibility, safety, and meaningful recovery after serious loss.
