Sasha Raab

Sasha Raab is an associate in Lathrop GPM’s Business Transactions practice group in Kansas City. She advises business clients on federal income tax issues, entity selection and formation, contract drafting, and corporate reorganizations. Her areas of focus also include corporate governance and mergers and acquisitions. She draws on a background in business administration and legal operations to help clients consider how business decisions intersect with legal structure and tax obligations.

Sasha earned an LL.M. in Taxation, with honors, from Northwestern Pritzker School of Law in 2022 and a J.D. from the University of Kansas School of Law in 2020. She graduated summa cum laude from Park University with a B.S. in 2015 and earned an A.A. from Johnson County Community College in 2013. In law school, she served on the Kansas Law Review and received Order of the Coif recognition.

Before joining Lathrop GPM, Sasha worked as a legal administrator for a health information technology supplier and as an assistant at an estate planning law firm. Following law school, she practiced at a midsize firm in Overland Park, where she gained experience with business succession planning. Her current work includes federal tax considerations, organizational structures, contract terms, and transactions. These matters draw on her practical business experience and advanced tax training.

Sasha has received academic awards in corporate finance, corporation and securities law, and leadership at the University of Kansas School of Law. Her professional affiliations include the American Bar Association Tax Section and bar associations in Kansas and Missouri. She has also written on tax changes affecting closely held businesses. Sasha Raab provides business-focused legal analysis for clients making organizational, succession, and taxation decisions.
