After law school, she began her career as a public defender, regularly gaining extensive courtroom experience across Western Montana. She handled a full felony caseload in more than ten counties, developing the ability to assess evidence, manage complex proceedings, negotiate effectively, and advocate for clients in high-pressure criminal matters.
