Eric H. Anderson

Eric H. Anderson is the Managing Attorney and founder of Anderson Defense in Minnetonka, Minnesota. Anderson represents clients in criminal defense, juvenile law, child protection, and administrative licensing matters. His work includes cases involving DWI, drug offenses, assault, theft, criminal sexual conduct, probation violations, juvenile delinquency, CHIPS defense, maltreatment determinations, and professional license concerns. Clients turn to him when legal accusations threaten their freedom, family stability, or professional livelihood.

Anderson earned his Juris Doctor from Michigan State University College of Law. He also earned a BBA and a BA degree from Western Michigan University. During law school, he built advocacy experience through the Arbitration Advocacy Team and coursework focused on courtroom oral advocacy. This training supports his ability to evaluate evidence, prepare arguments, and guide clients through criminal, juvenile, licensing, and child protection proceedings with practical judgment.

Anderson’s experience includes public defense, court externships, government externships, and private practice. He served as an Assistant Hennepin County Public Defender in the Juvenile Delinquency and Child Protection Divisions. He has also represented clients before licensing boards, including boards for social work, nursing, psychology, and marriage and family therapists. Through these matters, he helps clients respond to investigations, protect their rights, and address serious legal and administrative risks.

Eric H. Anderson has been selected to Super Lawyers Rising Stars and maintains memberships with the Minnesota State Bar Association, Minnesota Association for Justice, and American Bar Association. Anderson has also performed pro bono work with the Immigrant Law Center of Minnesota.
