Sara N. Sanchez

Sara N. Sanchez is a shareholder at Peifer Hanson, Mullins & Baker, P.A., who brings more than 17 years of experience to civil litigation and criminal defense lawsuits and disputes. She focuses her practice on employment disputes, health care fraud, general commercial litigation, and white-collar criminal defense. She represents individuals and organizations facing investigations, workplace claims, business conflicts, and other high-stakes proceedings. She draws on experience in public defense and private practice when she develops strategies for trial, negotiation, or appeal.

Sara earned her B.A. cum laude from Brown University in 1995, where she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. She received her J.D. magna cum laude from Harvard University of Law in 2001. She built strong research, writing, and advocacy skills through her academic work. She later applied that training while serving clients in criminal, civil, employment, health care, and commercial matters.

Sara began her legal career as a public defender in the juvenile and felony divisions of the Public Defender Service for Washington, D.C. She later moved into private practice, where she expanded her work across complex civil litigation and criminal defense. She is admitted in California, the District of Columbia, and New Mexico. She is also admitted before federal district courts in California and New Mexico, the Tenth Circuit, and the US Supreme Court.
