Samantha F. Gentel

Samantha F. Gentel is a Senior Attorney and Long Term Care Department Director at Generations Law Group. She has practiced elder law for more than a decade and works in estate planning, elder law, long-term care planning, asset protection, and Medicaid or MassHealth planning and applications. She guides individuals and families through aging-related legal decisions and connects clients with resources through the firm’s Long Term Care Department.

Samantha earned a Juris Doctor from New England Law, Boston in 2013. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Legal Studies, summa cum laude, from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2008, with a minor in African American Studies. She was a Commonwealth Scholar and received a Public Interest Law Association Grant during law school. Her education included study at University College Cork in Ireland.

Samantha’s work includes planning for long-term care costs, protecting assets, preparing estate plans, and assisting with Medicaid or MassHealth applications. In certain circumstances, she can serve clients as Power of Attorney, Health Care Agent, Personal Representative, or Trustee through the firm’s Attorney Fiduciary Program. Her practice emphasizes clear explanations of complex elder law concepts so families can understand choices involving care, finances, and future decision-making.

Samantha F. Gentel is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys and has been recognized as a Super Lawyers Rising Star. Her role combines direct client counseling with leadership of the firm’s Long Term Care Department. She helps families plan for aging, long-term care, estate needs, and public-benefit eligibility while maintaining attention to asset protection and practical administration. Her current work combines estate planning with elder law and long-term care planning.
