About
Sam Madia is a West Virginia trial attorney who focuses his practice on personal injury, wrongful death, workplace injury, truck collision, and employment litigation. He represents injured people, families, and estates in serious civil cases involving life-changing harm. His work centers on helping clients pursue accountability when they have been injured or lost a loved one because of the wrongful conduct of others. Through litigation, negotiation, and trial advocacy, he works to protect clients and pursue meaningful results.
Madia earned his J.D. from West Virginia University College of Law after receiving a Bachelor of Science in Economics from West Virginia University. His education provided a strong foundation in legal analysis, advocacy, and the economic issues that often arise in civil litigation. This background supports his work in personal injury and employment cases, where careful evaluation of damages, liability, and long-term consequences is essential.
Early in his legal career, Madia worked at a large litigation defense firm in West Virginia. In that role, he defended industrial employers, national trucking companies, and other business clients in hundreds of civil lawsuits, including many wrongful death cases. That experience gave him direct insight into how defendants and insurers evaluate claims and prepare their defenses. He later shifted his practice to represent injured people and families, using that experience to advocate more effectively for plaintiffs.
Since dedicating his practice to plaintiff representation, Sam Madia has handled hundreds of cases for individuals harmed by negligence and wrongful conduct. His practice includes serious workplace injury and death litigation, truck and automobile collision cases, personal injury lawsuits, employment litigation, and insurance bad faith matters. He is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of Appeals of West Virginia, the federal district courts in West Virginia, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.
