Sahil Malhotra is a passionate and strategic Intellectual Property attorney who founded Drishti Law to help innovators protect their dreams and bring their ideas to life. The word Drishti, meaning “vision,” reflects Sahil’s mission—to turn client innovation into secure, lasting value. With a unique combination of technical insight and legal experience, he is committed to guiding creators, entrepreneurs, and businesses through today’s increasingly complex IP landscape.

Sahil earned his J.D. from the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law, where he served as a student attorney in the school’s Intellectual Property Clinic. There, he supported small businesses and individuals in building and defending their trademarks, including successfully responding to USPTO office actions. This hands-on experience solidified his understanding of IP protection’s legal and practical sides.

Sahil further sharpened his trademark expertise as a law clerk at the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), where he reviewed trademark applications and developed a deep understanding of federal trademark registration procedures. He remains actively involved in the intellectual property law community, frequently participating in legal organizations, industry conferences, and events focused on innovation, brand protection, and emerging IP trends.

Licensed to practice in Illinois (2021) and the District of Columbia (2022), Sahil brings practical, forward-thinking solutions to clients navigating trademarks, IP strategy, and portfolio management.
