Ryann H. Beck

Ryann H. Beck is a partner at Andrus Intellectual Property Law and a registered patent attorney with extensive experience in patent, trademark, and copyright matters. She advises clients on both U.S. and international intellectual property strategies, including prosecution, enforcement, licensing, and portfolio management.

Ryann earned her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Marquette University Law School, where she was part of the Intellectual Property Law Review and Moot Court Team. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, bringing a strong technical foundation to her IP practice.

Ryann’s legal work spans a wide range of technologies, including software, signal processing, automation, robotics, medical devices, and electrical systems. He routinely counsels clients on patentability, infringement, validity, and IP-related agreements such as licenses, co-existence arrangements, and settlement deals.

Before becoming an attorney, Ryann spent more than four years as a signal processing engineer, working on cutting-edge projects at NASA’s Johnson Space Center and medical device company Impulse Monitoring, Inc. This deep, real-world technical experience allows her to quickly understand complex technologies and transform them into clear, effective legal strategies for her clients.

Ryann also contributes to the IP legal community through active membership in the AIPLA, AIPPI, and other professional organizations. She serves on the AIPPI U.S. Group Steering Committee and regularly participates in international forums focused on patent harmonization.

Committed to education and mentorship, Ryann has served as an adjunct professor at Marquette University Law School and volunteers with Milwaukee-based mentoring programs. Her excellence in intellectual property law has earned her consistent recognition on the Super Lawyers – Rising Stars list since 2015.
