Ryan Larose

Ryan Larose is a criminal defense attorney with more than ten years of legal experience. He focuses on helping people who face serious charges across the Capital Region. His work reflects steady preparation, clear client guidance, and a strong commitment to protecting individuals during difficult moments in the justice system.

Ryan earned his undergraduate degree from SUNY Geneseo, where he double majored in Political Science and Business Administration in 2008. He graduated with Departmental Honors. He then earned his Juris Doctor from the University at Buffalo Law School in 2011, where he built skills in legal analysis and advocacy.

Ryan developed much of his courtroom experience through public defense work. As an Assistant Public Defender at the Albany County Public Defender’s Office, he represented people charged with felony cases. Many of those cases carried the risk of ten years or more in prison, requiring careful strategy and strong advocacy.

Ryan also gained valuable experience through public defender’s offices in multiple counties. This work gave him a broad view of criminal defense practice and the challenges clients face. He handled serious matters, reviewed evidence, explained legal rights, and worked to give each person a fair defense.

Ryan’s legal background also includes service with the New York State Board of Elections in the Division of Election Law Enforcement. In that role, he coordinated criminal investigations and pursued financial penalties against corrupt politicians and organizations, strengthening his ability to assess facts and manage complex legal issues.

Ryan uses his experience to support clients through stressful and uncertain situations. He understands that criminal charges can affect freedom, work, and family stability.
