Ryan J. Gustafson

Ryan J. Gustafson is a shareholder at Matovich, Keller & Huso, P.C., in Billings, Montana. His practice focuses on insurance defense, general liability, premises liability, construction defect litigation, commercial disputes, and workers’ compensation defense. He represents insured and self-insured clients, employers, and insurance companies and also serves as a mediator helping parties resolve disputes outside court.

Ryan earned a B.A. in Business Administration from the University of Montana in 2008, with a finance emphasis and a minor in Political Science. He received his J.D. from the University of Montana School of Law in 2012. This combination of business and legal education supports his analysis of liability, insurance, commercial issues, and contested compensation claims.

Ryan has represented Montana businesses, farmers and ranchers, Fortune 500 companies, and multinational corporations. His litigation experience involves personal injury defense, premises liability, product liability, construction defects, and workers’ compensation disputes. He is admitted before Montana state and federal courts and applies his courtroom and mediation experience to matters requiring assessment of responsibility, evidence, and settlement options.
