Roy W. Arnold

Roy W. Arnold is a partner at Blank Rome LLP and co-chair of both the firm’s national Class Action Defense team and Pittsburgh office. He represents businesses in high-stakes litigation involving class actions, banking and financial services, mergers and acquisitions, securities, shareholder disputes, and ADA Title III compliance. His clients include companies in financial services, retail, hospitality, energy, natural resources, technology, and software that require practical guidance in complex commercial disputes.

Arnold earned his J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 1993, where he served as lead executive editor of the University of Pittsburgh Law Review. He received his B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania in 1990. Before entering private practice, he clerked for the Honorable Alan N. Bloch of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania, gaining valuable experience with federal litigation and judicial decision-making.

Arnold has defended more than 300 proposed class actions in state and federal courts across the country. His experience covers dismissal motions, class certification proceedings, discovery, interlocutory appeals, settlements, trials, arbitrations, injunctions, and mediations. He also advises officers, directors, and board committees on internal investigations and alleged wrongdoing. His matters frequently involve consumer finance, mortgage lending, loan servicing, automobile finance, syndicated lending, corporate governance, fiduciary duties, contractual disputes, fraud, and business torts.
