Roy S. Cohen

Roy S. Cohen is a partner and founding member of Cohen Seglias, where he maintains a nationwide construction practice and works from offices that include Louisville. He represents construction industry clients in disputes and business matters, including contractors, construction managers, developers, and related companies. His practice combines litigation and alternative dispute resolution with counseling on business succession, corporate planning, mergers, acquisitions, and other issues affecting construction businesses.

Cohen earned a J.D. from Rutgers University School of Law and a B.A., magna cum laude, from Brandeis University. His education supports a career that has combined courtroom advocacy, arbitration, mediation, and business counseling. He founded the firm in 1988 and later served as its president, giving him experience with both legal representation and the management considerations that shape long-term construction and business relationships.
