Ross Stomel

Ross Stomel is a Senior Partner at Shrader & Associates, L.L.P. and leads the firm’s asbestos department. His practice focuses on high-stakes litigation involving mass torts, defective devices, products liability, premises liability, catastrophic injuries, and wrongful death. He has served as lead counsel in cases resulting in more than $500 million in verdicts and settlements across the US. His work involves representing individuals in complex claims that require extensive investigation, preparation, and trial experience.

Ross earned a J.D., cum laude, from South Texas College of Law in 2003 and a B.A. from the University of Texas at Austin in 2000. During law school, he served as Assistant Editor-in-Chief of the South Texas Law Review. His academic background developed the research, writing, and analytical skills that support his work in complex civil litigation, where cases can involve detailed evidence, technical issues, multiple defendants, and significant questions of liability and damages.

Ross has litigated cases throughout the country and is admitted to practice in Texas, Illinois, and Missouri. He is also admitted before the US District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of Texas. His litigation experience includes complex mass tort claims involving serious injuries and wrongful death. He is frequently invited to speak before groups of plaintiff and defense attorneys on legal issues and trial-related topics, sharing practical knowledge gained through years of civil litigation.

Ross Stomel serves on the Executive Committee of the National Trial Lawyers Association and the Board of Directors of the Houston Trial Lawyers Association.
