Ronnie Capaldi

Ronnie Capaldi is an Associate Attorney at The Law Offices Of Young Wooldridge, LLP, whose practice focuses on intellectual property law, particularly the prosecution of patent and trademark applications. He works within the firm’s Business Department and brings a scientific background to matters involving innovation, branding, and intellectual property protection. Before entering law, he spent more than eight years working as a clinical laboratory scientist in West Los Angeles, experience that helped shape his interest in protecting technical and scientific developments.

Ronnie earned a J.D. from Pepperdine University School of Law and a B.S. in Chemistry with an emphasis in Biochemistry from California State University, Bakersfield. He also earned a Certificate in Law and Entrepreneurship from Pepperdine University School of Law. During law school, he received the CALI Award for Mediation Theory & Practice and a Dean’s Merit Scholarship.

Ronnie served as a judicial extern to Judge Jimmy V. Reyna of the US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit in Washington, DC. In that role, he worked on complex patent matters and gained exposure to federal appellate issues involving intellectual property. He also contributed to the National Association of Administrative Law Judiciary Journal as an editor and author, served as Treasurer of the Student Bar Association, and volunteered through Pepperdine’s legal aid program.

Ronnie Capaldi combines legal training with years of scientific laboratory experience in his intellectual property practice. He is a member of the State Bar of California and the Kern County Bar Association. His work remains focused on helping clients pursue patent and trademark protection while drawing on his background in chemistry, biochemistry, patent matters, legal research, and entrepreneurship.
