Ronald J. Lopez is a partner at Bailey | Stock | Harmon | Cottam | Lopez LLP in Wyoming. He focuses his practice on business law, estate planning law, real estate, utilities, energy, and other transactional matters. He drafts contracts and handles disputes involving corporations, limited liability companies, creditors’ rights, and property development. He represents clients before the Wyoming Public Service Commission in administrative and public utilities proceedings.
Ronald earned his law degree with honors from the University of Wyoming College of Law in 2010. He received the school’s Excellence in Advocacy Award and competed on its championship Rothgerber Trial Competition team. He earned his B.A. in Spanish from Brigham Young University in 2005. He began practicing with Hirst Applegate, LLP in 2010 before later joining his current firm.
Ronald has negotiated stock redemptions, asset purchases, large loans, and other sophisticated business transactions. He has guided real estate development projects from initial planning through completion. He has handled foreclosures involving multimillion-dollar mortgages and disputes between commercial or residential landlords and tenants. He co-authored Wyoming chapters addressing receivership, foreclosure, and covenants against competition in professional legal publications.
