Rodney A. Ames

Rodney A. Ames is a shareholder and director whose practice focuses on personal injury, wrongful death, civil litigation, contract negotiation, real estate, and corporate formation. Drawing on experience representing both plaintiffs and defendants, he provides clients with practical legal guidance in complex injury and civil disputes. His balanced litigation background enables him to advocate effectively in negotiations and courtroom proceedings while addressing a broad range of legal matters.

Rodney earned a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from the University of Utah in 1997 before receiving his Juris Doctor from the University of Missouri–Kansas City School of Law in 2000. His legal education prepared him for a practice centered on litigation, business matters, and civil advocacy.

Rodney began his legal career and joined Withers, Brant, Igoe & Mullennix in 2003 as a litigator, where he has continued to represent both injured individuals and defendants in civil litigation. He is admitted to practice in Missouri, the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Missouri, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit. He is a member of the Missouri Bar Association, the Clay County Bar Association, the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association, and the J. Reuben Clark Law Society, where he previously served on the board of directors for the Kansas City Chapter.
