Roderick O. Faulk is senior counsel in the Corporate & Securities practice at Jackson Walker in San Antonio, Texas. He works with individuals and institutions on corporate and transactional matters involving entertainment, digital media, sports, technology, fintech, real estate, open-source software, and life sciences. Faulk advises clients on corporate formation and structuring, business strategy, capital raising, mergers and acquisitions, intellectual property, and technology-related transactions, helping organizations address legal issues connected to growth and investment.
Faulk earned his J.D. from St. Mary’s University College of Law, an M.B.A. from the William & Mary Raymond A. Mason School of Business, and a B.S. from the United States Air Force Academy. His combination of legal, business, and military education provides a foundation for advising clients on transactions, strategy, technology, and organizational risk. Before practicing law, Faulk served as an active-duty officer in the United States Air Force, focusing on cyber operations and information technology.
Faulk previously practiced at an international law firm and with a Silicon Valley firm providing venture counsel. His transactional experience includes representing an energy company in the acquisition of crude oil and natural gas assets in the Southern Delaware Basin, including approximately 6,200 net acres in Texas, along with related acquisition financing through a senior secured credit facility. His broader practice involves business structuring, venture matters, acquisitions, technology licensing, and transactions involving innovative and growing companies.
Roderick O. Faulk is a Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation and has been recognized in Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch for Corporate Law, Mergers and Acquisitions Law, and Venture Capital Law. He was also selected as a Texas Rising Star from 2024 through 2026. Faulk serves on the Board of Directors of San Antonio Sports and is co-founder and director of Leaders Inspiring Fruitful Tomorrows, an educational organization supporting students pursuing higher education.
