Roddrick Harrison

Roddrick Harrison is a founding member and partner of Hampton & Harrison, LLC in New Orleans. Harrison leads the firm’s work on pre-litigation issues and also supports its civil litigation practice. His responsibilities include helping matters develop from initial investigation and preparation into formal litigation when necessary. His background in both public service and court work gives him practical familiarity with the legal system and the preparation required before a dispute reaches trial.

Harrison earned a B.A. in Political Science from the University of New Orleans and graduated from Loyola University School of Law. Before completing law school, he worked as a law clerk at the Civil District Court for the Parish of Orleans. That combination of political science study, legal education, and direct exposure to court operations provided a foundation for understanding procedure, case development, and the practical demands of civil litigation.

Before practicing law, Harrison served for seven years as a New Orleans firefighter assigned to Engine 27 and Ladder 11. His later legal work has focused on managing pre-litigation matters and assisting with civil litigation at the firm he co-founded in 2016. The progression from emergency public service to court experience and private practice informs a disciplined approach to gathering facts, preparing claims, and moving disputes through the appropriate legal process.

Roddrick Harrison received public recognition during his firefighting service, including a City of New Orleans proclamation and a Louisiana Senate resolution for actions connected to that work. As a lawyer, he applies that service-oriented background to the firm’s civil practice. He helps clients address disputes at an early stage, prepare matters for litigation, and understand the procedural steps and practical considerations that can influence how a civil case develops.
