About
Rochelle Gumapac is a White and Williams LLP attorney in Wilmington, Delaware, whose practice includes litigation, product liability, labor and employment, and financial restructuring and bankruptcy. She handles complex civil disputes involving environmental and toxic tort claims, real estate professional malpractice, personal injury, premises liability, insurance bad faith, construction defects, and commercial litigation arising in and outside bankruptcy proceedings.
Rochelle earned a J.D. from Widener University School of Law in 2006 and a B.A. from Ursinus College in 2003. Before law school, she worked as a stagiaire for the European Parliament in Brussels. During law school, she interned with the New Castle County Court of Common Pleas and the Delaware Civil Clinic. Her education and early public-service experience support a broad, multi-forum litigation practice.
Rochelle has handled matters from filing through settlement or trial in administrative and regulatory hearings, Delaware state courts, the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware, the Third Circuit, and the U.S. Supreme Court. Her bankruptcy-related work includes preference actions, fraudulent conveyance actions, cash collateral disputes, and claim objections. She has also tried significant product liability cases and secured dismissals through summary judgment for clients.
Rochelle Gumapac serves as White and Williams’ Chief Cultural Engagement Officer and works with firm leadership on recruitment, retention, and professional development initiatives. She was elected president of the Defense Counsel of Delaware and has held other leadership roles in the legal community. Her practice emphasizes careful preparation, practical strategy, and a detailed understanding of each client’s operations, goals, and litigation risks.
