Robert M. Perry

Robert M. Perry is a partner and head of criminal litigation at a New Jersey criminal defense firm. His practice focuses on criminal defense, education law, and administrative matters involving public employees. He represents individuals and entities facing serious felonies, misdemeanors, motor vehicle offenses, school disputes, and disciplinary charges. Drawing on prosecutorial experience, his approach emphasizes vigorous advocacy, careful preparation, and attention to each client’s circumstances.

Robert earned a Bachelor of Arts from Richard Stockton College of New Jersey in 2000 and a Juris Doctor from Rutgers Law School in 2003. He completed a judicial clerkship with the New Jersey Superior Court after law school. His education and early courtroom training strengthened the legal analysis, writing, and advocacy skills required for complex criminal litigation. New Jersey and federal admissions allow him to handle matters in state court and the US District Court.

Robert served as an assistant prosecutor in Burlington and Camden Counties for more than a decade before joining the firm in May 2015. During that period, he managed thousands of cases, from juvenile matters to murder prosecutions. Trial experience includes firearms, drug distribution, robbery, sexual assault, homicide, DNA evidence, digital forensics, and mental health issues. He also handled Krol proceedings involving defendants found incompetent or not guilty by reason of insanity.

Robert M. Perry is certified by the New Jersey Supreme Court as a criminal trial attorney. Teaching roles included Burlington County Police Academy courses from 2010 through 2013 and college instruction beginning in 2010. He also serves as an adjunct professor in Rutgers Law School’s Trial Advocacy Program.
