Robert Lindemeier

Robert Lindemeier has built a long legal career focused on criminal law, appellate matters, mediation, and personal injury cases. He has served clients across Nebraska for decades while handling serious felony matters and other complex legal disputes. His work reflects strong courtroom knowledge, careful case preparation, and a practical approach to resolving difficult legal situations for individuals and families.

Bob earned a Bachelor of Arts from Concordia College in 1981 before completing his Juris Doctor from Creighton University in 1984. He is admitted to practice in the State of Nebraska, the State of Arizona, the United States District Court, District of Nebraska, and the United States Supreme Court.

Bob has served as the Lincoln County Public Defender since 1991, after working as Deputy Lincoln County Attorney from 1985 to 1986. His practice focuses primarily on criminal law, especially serious felonies, while also covering personal injury and appellate matters. In mediation work, he handles family law disputes, special education issues, victim-offender matters, and alternative dispute resolution cases.

Bob is also trained in Elder Mediation and certified to serve in Nebraska family law cases pursuant to the Nebraska Supreme Court. Throughout his career, he has remained active in legal and community organizations, including the Nebraska Criminal Defense Attorney Association, Nebraska Mediation Association, Buffalo Bill Kiwanis, and the Nebraska Commission on Public Advocacy. His leadership experience reflects years of dedication to both the legal profession and public service.

Robert Lindemeier has received recognition for his legal and community contributions throughout his career. His honors include the 2013 Don Fiedler Excellence in Criminal Defense by the Nebraska Criminal Defense Attorney Association, the 1994 Keith Neville Award, the 2005 George S. Hixon Award, and Kiwanian of the Year 1994-1995. Along with publishing work related to criminal defense and elder mediation, he continues helping clients through experienced legal guidance and strong advocacy.
