Robert K. Ashley has built a respected career as a trial and litigation attorney, guiding clients through business disputes, real estate conflicts, probate matters, and collections actions. He has successfully represented individuals and organizations in civil and criminal trials, as well as arbitration and mediation, always focusing on achieving practical and favorable results.
Robert earned his B.A. in Journalism with honors from the University of Montana before pursuing his J.D., also with honors, at McGeorge School of Law, University of the Pacific. While studying law, he gained valuable experience as McGeorge’s Representative to the American Bar Association, served as a judicial intern at the United States Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims, and assisted in a Marin County death penalty trial.
Robert was admitted to the California Bar in 2015 and is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Eastern and Central Districts of California. Before focusing his practice on litigation, he served as a Deputy District Attorney in Marin County and later worked at a firm specializing in business, trademark, and real estate law. These roles allowed him to develop a strong foundation in both prosecution and defense.
Robert has secured a series of notable results for his clients, including obtaining a multi-million-dollar judgment for a charitable organization in a complex trust matter, negotiating favorable settlements in high-value probate and employment disputes, and successfully defending companies against claims related to contracts and construction. He has also achieved dismissals of actions at early stages, protecting clients from prolonged and costly litigation.
