Robert H. Ambrose

Robert H. Ambrose is the owner and attorney-at-law of Ambrose Law Firm, PLLC, where he focuses on criminal defense throughout Minnesota. His practice includes criminal defense law, including  DWI and DUI, criminal vehicular operation, assault, drug crimes, fraud, theft, financial crimes, white-collar offenses, internet crimes, juvenile matters, and expungements. He also represents clients facing probation, supervised release, conditional release, and parole violations. His work centers on protecting constitutional rights while guiding clients through serious criminal proceedings.

Mr. Ambrose earned a J.D. from William Mitchell College of Law, where he served as Executive Editor of the William Mitchell Law Review. He received a B.A. in Criminal Justice from Indiana University at Bloomington. His education included a Justice Semester at American University in Washington, DC. His academic background provided a foundation in criminal justice, legal research, writing, and advocacy that continues to support his defense practice.

Mr. Ambrose is admitted to practice in Minnesota and before the US District Court for the District of Minnesota. Before opening his firm, he spent nearly four years working with an established Minnesota criminal defense attorney. He has appeared in courts across nearly half of Minnesota’s counties while representing clients facing criminal charges. His professional memberships include the Minnesota Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, Minnesota State Bar Association, and several county bar associations.

Robert H. Ambrose combines statewide courtroom experience with a practice devoted to criminal defense. His work includes representing clients accused of offenses ranging from misdemeanor theft and impaired driving to serious assault, drug, and financial crimes. He has written on criminal justice topics and presented continuing legal education programs involving DWI and criminal law.
