Brian Palacios

Brian Palacios is a Tampa criminal defense lawyer who represents people facing DUI charges, domestic violence allegations, misdemeanors, and serious felonies. A former state prosecutor, he brings more than 15 years of experience to his defense work. He has handled thousands of criminal cases, including murder cases, and uses his knowledge of prosecution strategies to examine evidence and prepare defenses for his clients.

Palacios earned a Bachelor of Science in Business from the University of Florida in 2005. He went on to earn his Juris Doctor from Nova Southeastern University’s Shepard Broad Law Center in 2009. His education gave him a foundation for assessing facts, building legal arguments, and addressing the decisions that arise throughout a criminal case.

Before becoming a defense attorney, Palacios served as an assistant state attorney and gained courtroom experience prosecuting criminal cases. He now handles matters involving DUI, drug charges, domestic violence, and other state and federal offenses. His trial experience includes both misdemeanor and felony cases. He also represents clients whose charges could affect their driving privileges, professional licenses, or ability to clear a criminal record.

Brian Palacios personally manages his cases and focuses on giving clients direct attention throughout the legal process. He is a member of the Florida Bar, the Hillsborough County Bar Association, and the Goldburg-Cacciatore Criminal Law Inn of Court. Admitted to practice in Florida state courts and the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, he works to help clients understand their options and protect their rights.
