Robert F. Harrian is a seasoned Arizona family law attorney and co-counsel with Keist Thurston. Since 1987, he has focused his career on helping clients and attorneys handle complex divorce-related financial issues, especially the careful division of retirement plans and financial accounts.
Robert earned his Juris Doctorate from Arizona State University College of Law in 1987. His legal studies also included the University of Arizona College of Law and University College London in England. He also holds an Associates Degree in Liberal Arts and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Political Science.
Robert is admitted to practice in the State of Arizona and the United States District Court. He is a member of the Family Law Section of the Arizona State Bar and the Arizona Association of Family Law Attorneys. He is also listed among the Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers.
Robert has devoted about 95% of his practice to the retirement plan division. He prepares dividing orders for 401(K) Plans, Deferred Compensation Plans, ESOP Plans, Military Retirement Plans, Railroad Retirement Plans, CSRS, FERS, ASRS, PSPRS, and many other retirement systems.
Robert also handles stock options, restricted stock units, employee stock purchase plans, and other non-qualified plans. Courts and attorneys often appoint him as a special master in divorce cases. He has also served as an expert witness to explain retirement plans and disability pension issues.
