Robert D. Hudson

Robert D. Hudson is a labor and employment attorney with more than 25 years of experience representing management in complex workplace matters. He advises employers on labor relations, union avoidance campaigns, collective bargaining, arbitration, and employment litigation. His work also includes equal employment opportunity counseling, compliance guidance, and management training programs. He focuses on preventive strategies that reduce risk while guiding businesses through disputes before administrative agencies and courts in Kentucky and Ohio.

Rob earned his B.S. in 1984, with high distinction from the University of Kentucky. He later received his J.D. in 1987 from the University of Kentucky College of Law. This academic foundation shaped his analytical approach to labor relations and employment law. He is licensed to practice in Kentucky and brings decades of practical insight to organizations seeking steady legal direction in challenging workplace environments.

Rob has been recognized for his leadership and legal skills. He received the Walter R. Dunlevy Frontiersman Award in 2013 and the Northern Kentucky Area Development District Community Leadership Award in 2010. He was also honored with the Director’s Awardfrom the  Covington Business Council in 2008 and inducted into the Taking Care of Business Hall of Fame, Northern Kentucky, 2008. His additional honors include selection to Kentucky Super Lawyers® (Labor and Employment Law, 2010-2016) and The Best Lawyers in America® (Employment—Management, 2011-2026; Labor—Management, 2011-2026).

Robert D. Hudson continues to counsel management clients with a steady, practical approach designed to resolve disputes efficiently and strengthen workplace compliance for long-term success. Rob is active in the legal and business communities. He serves as Vice-President of the Northern Kentucky Bar Association and founded the Legends Series. He is also the Founder of the Northern Kentucky Human Resource Professional Series and the Northern Kentucky Human Resource Webinar Series. In addition to practicing law, he authored business-focused books, including “The HR Lawyer Within You – Human Resource Strategies for Legal Success” and “A Better Tomorrow – Fighting for Capitalism and Jobs in the Heartland.”
