About
Robert A. Morgenstern is a trial attorney with more than four decades of experience handling catastrophic injury and wrongful death cases. His practice often involves commercial trucking accidents, product liability disputes, and other casualty matters. Over many years, he has built a reputation for courtroom advocacy and effective client representation.
Robert earned his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 1977. He later attended Southwestern University School of Law. There, he completed his Juris Doctor in 1980. After finishing law school, he moved forward into legal practice and began building a career focused on civil litigation and trial work.
Robert began his legal career as a law clerk shortly after graduating from law school. Through dedication and steady courtroom work, he advanced quickly and gained significant trial experience handling complex injury litigation and casualty disputes. His practice developed around representing clients in serious accident and liability matters across California.
Robert has received recognition for his long record in litigation. In 2017, Loyola Law School’s Civil Justice Program honored him as a Champion of Justice. That same year, Southwestern Law School named him Outstanding Litigator. He has also been listed by SuperLawyer Magazine among the top five percent of attorneys.
Robert has also held leadership roles within legal organizations. He served as President of the California Defense Counsel in 2013. He later became President of the Los Angeles Chapter of ABOTA in 2019. These positions reflect the respect he has earned within the trial advocacy community and legal profession overall.
Robert is a Fellow in the American College of Trial Lawyers and an Advocate of the American Board of Trial Advocates. He has participated in the Master’s in Trial program and contributes to professional legal organizations. He is also a Senior Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America and a member.
