About

Rilus Dana is the managing partner and founder of Rilus Law, an estate planning, probate, and trust administration firm based in Mesa. A second-generation estate planning attorney, he focuses on revocable trusts, wills, health care powers of attorney, durable financial powers of attorney, digital assets, probate, and trust administration. His work emphasizes coordinated planning that helps families organize property, prepare for incapacity, reduce avoidable administrative problems, and provide clear instructions for future estate or trust administration.

Dana earned a J.D. from Thomas Jefferson School of Law in 2009 and a B.S. in Business Management from Arizona State University in 2006, graduating cum laude. He worked in estate planning while completing his business education, giving him early experience with the practical side of planning and administration. His legal and business studies support a practice that combines document design, client counseling, asset organization, and long-term planning for families that need to coordinate ownership, beneficiary choices, incapacity planning, and later administration.

Dana has continued to focus on estate planning, probate, and trust administration while developing systems intended to make legal plans easier to organize and maintain. His firm works with revocable trusts, wills, financial and health care powers of attorney, digital asset planning, probate matters, and trust administration. His practice includes helping clients establish plans before incapacity or death and assisting families with the legal and administrative steps that follow, including the organization and transfer of estate or trust assets.

Rilus Dana is currently active in Arizona and California, while his Nevada license is inactive. He has more than two decades of experience in the estate-planning industry and continues to practice through Rilus Law. His professional work also includes legal-technology and practice-management initiatives. He helps families build understandable estate plans, keep important documents and asset information organized, and navigate probate or trust administration with attention to legal requirements, efficient processes, and long-term family needs.
